The Kaiser Idell 6631 Luxury Table lamp is equipped with two ball joints. One ball joint ensures that the asymmetrically shaped shade can be swiveled, while the other allows an individual alignment of the arm. An on / off switch is located on the light base.The 6631 Luxury Table lamp was originally designed by Christian Dell in 1931 for the Gebr. Kaiser und Co. Leuchten KG. From the 1960s onwards, this light gained in popularity, as it was placed on the desk of many German television commissioners, which is why it was even called a “commissioner’s lamp”. Like the other Kaiser Idell lights, it also belongs to the Bauhaus style.The lamp is available with a shade in these surfaces: black, matt black, white, green and red. The upper surface of the lamp base is lacquered in the same surface as the shade. In all versions except matt black, the shades are glossy lacquered. The manufacturer Kaiser Idell designates green as “dark green” and red as “ruby red”. The chromium-plated elements of the lamp are polished and made of silver-brazed brass. Each table lamp comes with a certificate of authenticity and an “ORIGINAL KAISER idell” embossing.
